Billionaire financier Jeffrey Epstein was arrested recently and charged with sex trafficking of minors. Epstein is a registered sex offender who once served 13 months in jail on similar charges after a plea deal. Yet despite his sordid past, which was apparently an open secret among financial and political elites in New York, Florida, and elsewhere, he was apparently able to carry on his predatory behavior towards underage women unchecked.
Authorities who raided Epstein’s mansion in New York found hundreds of photos of young women in partial or full undress, many of whom appeared to be underage. They also found a massage table, sex toys, and various other items that concurred with testimony from Epstein’s alleged victims. It appears that Epstein’s actions are finally catching up to him as a result of the #MeToo movement, and it couldn’t happen quickly enough. Yet much of the reporting in the mainstream media is attempting to tie Epstein to President Trump and smear the President.
Epstein is perhaps best known as a friend of the Clintons, and former President Bill Clinton is known to have taken multiple trips on Epstein’s private jet, known as the “Lolita Express.” Epstein was also a donor to the Clinton Foundation, and his ties within the Democratic political establishment are apparently numerous and deep.
Epstein’s previous sweetheart plea deal was the result of action by a US Attorney named Alexander Acosta, now the US Secretary of Labor. Acosta apparently was told to lay off Epstein because he was a US intelligence asset, hence what many have called an unprecedentedly lenient plea deal considering the charges Epstein was facing back in 2008. The media has also tried to place Trump within Epstein’s social circle, even though Trump famously kicked Epstein out of his club for attempting to assault an underage girl. Trump also was willing to give information about Epstein to lawyers representing Epstein’s victims.
One has to wonder whether the current case against Epstein is the first leg of President Trump’s revenge against those Democrats responsible for Russiagate. If Epstein goes down, the information that comes to light during a trial could implicate many Democratic politicians, fundraisers, and associates. That’s why the media is trying to deflect as much blame as possible to Trump, Acosta, and other Republicans, in an attempt to divert attention away from Democrats. That may not work, however, and the whole sordid mess may very well play a large role in the Democratic nomination process and the 2020 Presidential election.
